Meet the two amusing animals behind Dog Snobs
Right now, Dog Snobs is just a bloggish-looking newsletter written by a lady with a dog.
In a former life, the lady (that’s me!) was very influential and well-known around the globe for her travel writing escapades. However, she eventually began drooping under the constant weight of checked baggage.
She now rests atop an intense mountain of gratitude for both her illustrious past life and her low-key, dog-hair-covered current life.
That’s the beauty of being human. We get to change gears whenever we feel like it!
My overall goal with Dog Snobs is to splatter as much dog joy across the internet as I have time for.
My long-term goal is to foster rescue dogs, all of which may very well end up becoming foster fails.
Of course, I’ll entertain the idea of fast-tracking my long-term goal if a wealthy philanthropist wishes to donate a ranch with a creek running through it. But last time I checked, nobody was donating ranches with creeks.
I’ll settle for a log cabin with a fence and internet.
How does an acclaimed travel writer turn into a dog blogger?
It’s a simple but oh-so-complex answer.
When the universe dumps a pandemic into our laps and the thing we wrote about for ten years is no longer a thing, we adopt a dog…
…because we’re lonely
…and we begin questioning humanity
…and ultimately, our entire existence.
Then we suck it up and head to Walmart, buy a dozen cheap hoodies for dog life in Canada, and call it a day.
Every website launches for a reason…
And these are mine:
Because millions of people are out there doing amazing things for dogs, with dogs, and because of dogs. I want to be one of those people.
I secretly want lifetime sponsorship from the makers of sticky rollers and Swiffer.
Because a dog is the only creature on earth that loves you more than it loves itself.
And finally, because my adopted dog saved my life, and that is no exaggeration.
