“The world doesn’t need another dog blog,” said no one….EVER!
If the internet gods suddenly announced to all humans that we had to limit our web space down to just one spot, I’d keep this one and let all the rest go because….dog love.
Dogs are fun.
Dogs are frivolous.
Everyone needs more of that in their lives. Just ask my readers and they’ll spell it out for you:
Aside from making us smile and dropping unwanted (and never-ending) fur-bombs in homes around the world, they provide us with a type of stability we don’t often find in our human counterparts. Dogs play a very important role in the lives of their humans.
My long-term vision for Dog Snobs has many layers:
JOY: I want this to be a joyful space where dog owners and dog lovers can drop in any day of the week and look forward to doggin’ it with us.
PURPOSE: I will never buy into the phrase, “It’s just a dog.” This is simply not true. The moment a dog enters your life, it serves a purpose you may not even be aware of. Even strays ignite purpose in humans around the globe. No dog is “just a dog.”
PRACTICAL: There’s a LOT to learn about how we “parent” our mutts. What better education than sharing our individual successes and failures? If you’ve followed my other publications for more than a minute you’ll know already that community is a HUGE factor in everything I put out. We’re having all the conversations!
PROJECTS: I have big plans for Dog Snobs moving forward. I’m not sure what these projects are yet, but just know….they’re coming down the pipeline.
Millions of people are out there doing amazing things for dogs, with dogs, and because of dogs. I want to be one of those people.
And finally, COLLABORATION: I am 100% opening this publication up to guest writers from around the world. If you have a dog, work with dogs, or even just love dogs, I’ll be doing callouts for your stories down the line.
Since this blog/newsletter is brand-spankin’ new (May 2024) I have nowhere to guide you just yet. But as we fill up the white space with the best Monday content ever, this welcome page will serve as a landing page directory for new arrivals.
